Carolina’s Volvo V50
The Volvo V50 was revealed at the 2003 Bologna Motor Show as the station wagon version of the Volvo S40, small family car. For the 2008 model year, the V50 received revised front styling, minor modifications to the interior, optional active xenon headlights, audio systems, increased power and torque of the T5 engine, availability of the D5 with a 6-speed manual and a 1.8 engine. For 2009, the V50 T5 is available in the US only as an automatic AWD model with the "R-Design" trim package, and within Europe with both manual and automatic options.

The Volvo S40 is a compact executive car produced by Volvo. This small family car was first introduced in 1995. The second generation arrived in 2004, where the new V50 station wagon replaced the V40. The S40 was refreshed for 2008. Improvements include improved audio systems, increased storage space and new safety features like Emergency Brake Lights. The new S40 also comes with optional Active Bi-Xenon headlights, which point the light beam in the direction of the road as it curves (standard in SE Lux models). There is also a camera, which can be located on the side mirrors, which alerts the driver of passing vehicles beside the car. The camera is optional on all models.

Get a Volvo S60 in Charlotte!
The Volvo S60 is a compact executive sedan produced by Volvo. Since its origination in 2000, two generations have been produced. The S60 marked a clean break for Volvo from the boxy design that many associated with the brand in the 1980’s and 90’s. The S60 was built upon Volvo’s P2 Platform, which was shared with other Volvo models like the S80, V70, XC70 and XC 90. In 2005 the S60 was refreshed with an updated exterior, complete with body-colored side moldings, bumpers and headlamps. The interior was updated with new seats, trim and a new center console. T5 engine was also reengineered from 2.3 to 2.4 liters and received an increase of 10 bhp. The second generation S60 began production in Ghent, Belgium on May 17, 2010, with an expected annual production of 90,000 vehicles. This new sedan will show off Volvo's completely new design language already seen in the Volvo XC60 concept. It will ride on the same platform as the XC60.

The Volvo S80 is a mid size executive sedan. It was first introduced in 1998 to replace Volvo 960/S90. Unlike most Volvo models, the first generation did not include a estate/station wagon version. The first generation was notable for being one of the first Volvos to depart from the company's traditionally very boxy, conservative styling. The S80's styling, with its pronounced beltlines and tail lights that narrow and go from curves to points as they go up, was later adopted throughout the Volvo line, especially on the S60 and S40 saloons. The first generation Volvo S80 had one of the highest crash test ratings in the world for five years. The second generation Volvo S80, in June 2007, scored the highest "good" rating in the IIHS crash test performance for frontal, side, and rear impacts, continuing in the success of the first S80 sedan, earning it the IIHS Top Safety Pick. The Volvo C30 is a small three-door, four-seat hatchback powered by straight-4 and straight-5 engines. The car is a hatchback version of the S40/V50/C70 range, and uses the same platform. It is being marketed as a premium hatchback or "sports coupe" specially designed for first-time Volvo buyers and the youth market. The exterior design of the C30 is based on the 2001 SCC concept car. It also shares many design cues with the Volvo 480, particularly the 'sportback' body style and glass tailgate.
